The Psychology of a Stripteaser
This performance by Gypsy Rose Lee is fun as it is not a modern example of burlesque but absolutely shows a defiance of the thought that a striptease act was strictly for the male gaze
there is a level of humour and awareness to the act, the way she lists off what the striptease artist thinks of.
This is relevent to the exploration of burlesque within my essay and how it can be viewed as a feminist thing.
